Sweet sister
Help me along
Help me be strong
Never get bored
Never ignore
Always amusing
Always in tune
Sweet lover
You know the dea
I can predict
Things that you feel
I need a breather
I need a towel
I need a lover
I need it now
I was born for the simple love
I was worn like a boxing glove
I was torn from the humid skies above
Sweet lover
Don’t push me away
Please let me say
What i gotta say
You told me you
Love someone else
You wanna go
Be all by yourself
I know i haven’t been kind
I took you for granted
It’s granted i’m blind
I’m trying to give
You all of myself
Only to you
Nobody else
I was born
For the majesty
Of your warm
Loving hand in me
I was born
Now there’s nothing left to be
I sing a simple song
About all the time
That’s come and has gone
Guess you have cried
As i have cried
Yeah we both loved
yeah we both lied
Someday together again
Meet me down by the river bend
My love for you
Is not quite the same
But maybe we
Can blossom again
Cause i was born
For the simple love
I’ve been worn like a boxing glove
I was torn
From the humid skies above
I was born
For the majesty
Of your warm
Loving hand in me
I was born
Now there’s nothing left to be
How could you say that you love him
When you don’t even like his music
How could you say that you love him
When you don’t even trust his music
His music defines his heart
His heart defines his music
How could you say that you love that guy
When you don’t even like
In fact, you told me that you hated
His music
I wish so bad you would say
“Honey come back,
don’t go away”
I would be on
The very next bus
Commit to you
I’d commit to us
Does it matter?
Do you even care?
I pushed you away
When i wasn’t there
I was confused
Didn’t know what to do
Now all i could say
Is that i love you
Cause i was born for the simple love
I was worn like a boxing glove
I was torn from the humid skies above
I was born for the majesty
Of your warm loving hand in me
Not this lost and lonely tragedy
Just saw them performing much of this album on their west coast tour. San Diego and Pioneertown dates. Didn’t know any of them lol. I’m all about their old shit but I like this. Playing it more and more. Appreciate the evolution of one of my favorite bands in the world since middle school! 🖤 Red

Irish singer-songwriter Oisin Leech's acoustic folk music is characterized by its muted beauty and intimate, solitary quality. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 16, 2024
Title track was the first I'd ever heard of Jeff's work and it struck me like a ten-ton hammer.
Was a perfect fit for the small-town college I was attending at the time, not far from train tracks itself.
Every time I hear this, I can see the amber light of the street lamps and think about a few walks I made around campus in the dead of night.
Still haven't grabbed hold of the life I've been given as firmly as I ought to, but this song soothes my regret...and the chorus reminds me.... moonandstar8765
